The way how to use ALSIM is very simple.
The following example with the animation of the pitcher illustrates some functionalities of ALSIM. The blue volume illustrates the liquid, the red volume the gas respectively. The purple poly-lines illustrate the drain points and flow paths. One can see the size and/or location of the liquid and gas volumes changing during the rotation of the pitcher.

The following listing mentions the functionality:
- Suitable for complex surface models and solids (STL)
- Simulation of complex models with cavities, multiple branches, islands and undercuts
- Comfortable graphical user interface
- Calculation of surfaces and volumes of pools, air bubbles and cavities Calculation of the drain point and flow paths
- Clear visualization of results in
- Numerical format (EXCEL, HTML)
- Graphical format (CATIA, Open GL)
- High performance
- 100 times faster as comparable CFD codes
- Calculations at any angle and of a motion sequence
